2.5 - The Manufacturing-Industrial Engineer's Goals

The manufacturing floor or cell leaders’ goals, expectations, and incentives

The manufacturing-industrial engineer is responsible for increasing the earnings. A junior manufacturing-industrial engineer must generate 3-5 times their salary in increased earnings per year. A senior manufacturing-industrial engineer must generate 8 or more times their salary in increased earnings per year.


To achieve these earnings goals, the manufacturing-industrial engineer must perform the Rapid Improvement process and production, preparation, and process (3P) events. Businesses should support one rapid improvement event for every 10 employees per year.
